Musing about the Future of writing augmented by AI

Despite the mystique surrounding machine learning, artificial intelligence, and deep learning. The underlying mechanics of the models which delight us are more common mathematics: a combination of statistics, linear algebra, and calculus aided with the computational power of computers.

This piece was written using artificial intelligence based on gpt-2. With the help of my own intuition, I could write a simple sentence, say, a couple of words , and make it a sentence.

The recent release of the massive and powerful GPT-3 took Twitter by storm as excited AI professionals and enthusiasts alike who had gained early access flooded the social media platform with the creative ways they had been using the model. However, GPT-2 (its predecessor) isn’t too shabby either when it comes to text completion tasks. The latest iteration of G PT-2 is still a powerful and fun AI experience.

For example, you can use it to help you complete a sentence without looking at a computer monitor. In addition, you can use it to find the answer to a question you have about a subject you are interested in.

The AI system is designed to perform the task and can help us perform it better.

As you can tell, without hyper-parameter tuning, context, and sufficient training, the produced text isn’t that impressive. It doesn’t need to be very strong to be able to write. It will be fun to see what GPT-3 is able to do. For now, we’ll have to wait.
